Can he ever get anything right?

John McCain continues his stride of idiotic moves of desperation. He claimed that Meg Whitman, a national co-chair for his campaign and potentialpick for Treasury Secretary, had “founded” eBay with five employees. The truth is, the actual founder of eBay is Pierre Omidyar, who is an avid Obama supporter. Whitman only joined as CEO, and 3 years after it was founded too.

Omidyar endorsed Obama in May on his website:

“Barack Obama is showing a mirror to America, and despite the bad stuff we see in our reflection, we see that we are fundamentally good and strong and proud, and we can overcome our challenges by working together, across all sorts of lines, be they partisan, racial, cultural, religious, or whatever.
That’s something unique about Barack Obama’s America — our America — and that’s the America I want to live in. ”

Whitman has been credited for turning the (then) 30 employee company into a successful company while she was CEO. Shcurrently sits on the board of eBay. A little while ago, eBay took some measures to lay off many people. Only days later did McCain suggest she should be the Treasury Secretary.

Rumor: NIN Releasing Remastered Versions of Older Albums, Limited Edition of Year Zero? UPDATE: DEBUNKED!

The funniest thing happened. I was looking around the NIN forums when I found a post titled (and I quote): “OMG Special Limited Edition Year Zero and Others!!!” My OCD kicked in when I read the “Limited Edition” because I am OCD to getting every Limited Edition thing I can get my hands on. Apparently, Best Buy kinda f’ed up. In the post, there was a link to this page, a page showing all the upcoming NIN releases. It shows a Limited Edition of Trent’s Concept Album “Year Zero” and SHM (Super High Material which means even BETTER quality then remastered CDs) versions of “Pretty Hate Machine”, “The Downward Spiral” and “The Fragile”. Trent has always said that he has been interested in re-releasing the older albums in a remastered format, but the thing that screams “FAKE” to me is how they say “The Downward Spiral” is being re-released. This would be the FIFTH (counting the first time) this album would be released (Original, Duel-Disc, Deluxe Double Disk Edition, LP Record, and this). I mean, I know it is their most successful album, but FIVE TIMES? I either think this is Best Buy slipping up and posting info a BIT too early (Year Zero LE “release date”: 11/19/2008, Album remasters “release date”: 12/3/2008) or Best Buy being a-holes (again) and just teasing the NIN fans around the world with fake albums. These are available for Pre-Order, so if you want to grab your copy of these “mystery albums”, go right ahead. But I am NOT spending $60 on a remastered version of “The Fragile”, no matter how much I love that album. Keep in mind, none of this has been confirmed by NIN or NIN’s representatives, so for the moment, we have to say this is a RUMOR.

Update: The SHM versions of the disk have been announced as releases of the disks in Japan. Nothing special. No new news about the LE of Year Zero though.

WE’Z OUT OF BETA!

Yeah suckas! www.pwnagepickle.com is 100% done and out of Beta! We are still doing some fine tuning… but it is basicly done! w00t!

The Guild FTW!

Okay, so I just turned into a fanboy in a record time. About an hour. I was on Twitter and I was following Felicia Day and she always talks about “The Guild” and all that, so I finally came out and asked her, “What is “The Guild”?” She replied to me with a link to “The Guild’s” site. I checked it out, watched Season One, and loved it instantly. Yes, Anay, you can make fun of me for becoming a fanboy.

So, this show is about Sid (More Commonly Referred to as “Codex”) and her life. She is addicted to an MMO and she has a guild with these people she have never met, but they are very close friends. They realize that one of the guild members, ZABOO, hasn’t been on for 36 hours, and they all freak out, wondering what happened to him. Codex gets a knock on her door and goes to answer it and it is a random man. He gives flowers and says thanks. She wonders how the hell she knows him and he explains. Codex finally realizes that this random man, is ZABOO in the flesh. Everything then goes downhill VERY fast as ZABOO tries to, you know… GET with Codex, one of the guild members goes rouge, and the worst enemy they have ever faced comes: ZABOO’s mom.

I watched the whole first season and… DAMN. This is freaking awesome. Me being a huge gamer, it’s awesome to see a sitcom all about video game players and how everything goes downhill when they try to make physical contact with each other. Yes, it is VERY late for me to be talking about this, but better late then never!

Please, if you haven’t already, CHECK THIS OUT. You will be glad you did.
